Jonah's First Bloody Nose

And Elisabeth is the one who gave it to him. Albeit it was not her fault. Kelly had taken them to the park, while I went to the gym. Elisabeth was in the swing and Jonah decided he wanted to push his sister. Well, he got too close and Wham! right in the face. Apparently, it didn't hurt all that much as Jonah kept wanting to play. However, according to Dad, it produced quite a bit of blood. Jonah would feel the blood trickling and wipe his face and would say "What's this?" I guess this is why Daddy felt that taking a few pictures before giving him a bath wouldn't hurt.

A Funfilled Weekend!

We had a very full weekend. I think I have recovered!

On Friday evening we went to a picnic with friends. Jonah's swim class started back this weekend, so he and Kelly went to that on Saturday morning. He did really well and even floated on his back for the first time comfortably with some help from Daddy. That is the first big step in actually teaching kids his age to swim. As soon as they got home from that, we all went to the Turkish Festival at the fairgrounds for some good food, fellowship and entertainment. See our pictures from that event here.

On Sunday we went to the NC Zoo with our friends the Burns and Tim Lockamy. We took a lot of pictures from that day as well. Click here to see them. These are a couple of my favorites from the day.

Layout and Format Changes Continued

Okay, I think I'm getting close. I'm thinking of using this as the general template. I'll need some help from the hubby to tweak it but before he does that. What do you all think of this general color scheme, header/title, and layout? I'll put a poll to the right in case you don't want to leave comment. Format Change

Hey folks! If you've been to my blog this weekend you've likely seen one of several different templates as I have changed it about 25 times. I have yet to find one that I totally like and doesn't have any formatting issues. I guess I'm going to have to learn html :-) Maybe one day! Let me know what you think of this one. I'll try to keep it for a few days at least. I don't like how much room the header picture takes up but like it's feminine color scheme.

The Joy a Girl Brings

I was just thinking today how much I enjoy my little girl. She is just so darn cute and I get to dress her in pretty, little, frilly outfits. And she has a cute little (actually big) personality to go with it - not that I don't love my darling boy. Perhaps it's just extra sweet considering I previously had some fears about having a girl, but God's healing is so sweet and looks like this:

These two she took one evening in February when they watched our kids while Kelly and I went on a date. This was the first time someone had watched both kids for us - our first date since Elisabeth was born. (Olivia looks like she's holding Elisabeth hostage.)
